Scope of Telehealth Services
Virtual Health Xpress provides telehealth services for non-emergency medical conditions only. Our services include primary care, urgent care for minor illnesses, weight loss management, medication management, and wellness screenings. Our services are not a substitute for emergency medical care, in-person physical examinations when clinically necessary, specialist care requiring hands-on evaluation, or surgical or procedural interventions.
Limitations of Telehealth
While telehealth is an effective and convenient method of healthcare delivery, it has inherent limitations. Providers cannot perform hands-on physical examinations through telehealth. Certain conditions may require in-person evaluation, diagnostic imaging, or laboratory testing that cannot be conducted remotely. Our providers will refer you to in-person care when clinically appropriate.
Prescription Medications
Medications prescribed through Virtual Health Xpress are based on the clinical judgment of your healthcare provider during your telehealth consultation. All prescriptions are subject to the following conditions:
- Medications are prescribed only when medically appropriate based on the information available during your visit
- Virtual Health Xpress does not prescribe controlled substances for pain, anxiety, or sleep
- Certain medications may require laboratory testing or in-person evaluation before prescribing
- You are responsible for informing your provider of all current medications, supplements, and allergies
- Compounded medications, when used, are prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies and are not FDA-approved in the same manner as commercially manufactured medications
Weight Loss Services Disclaimer
Our medical weight loss program may include GLP-1 receptor agonist medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide. Individual results vary significantly. Weight loss medications are prescribed only when clinically appropriate based on your medical history, BMI, and overall health profile. These medications are not guaranteed to produce specific results and work best when combined with lifestyle modifications including nutrition, exercise, and behavioral changes.
When compounded formulations of semaglutide or tirzepatide are used, patients receive a separate compounded medication disclosure and informed consent document. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are prepared by state-licensed compounding pharmacies.
